  • Can I pay weekly?
Yes. We have a direct debit system which allows you to pay weekly via a credit card. Alternatively you can pay by cash, cheque, credit cards or direct deposit via the internet for the whole term upfront.

  • How are the students graded?
Students will be allocated into classes according to age and ability.

  • Must my child participate in exams?
No. Body Beat provides students with opportunities to do examinations. Through examinations students are able to to gain discipline, experience as well as a sense of achievement. It is the decision of the parent and teacher as to which students are suitable to participate in exams. Exams will be in Term 3 (Aug/Sept)

  • Do all dance classes perform at the annual concert?
Yes! We give EVERY student the opportunity to be part of the Body Beat annual concert to perform and entertain the entire family and their friends. Our annual concert is a lot of fun for all involved. The concert will be in Term 4 in December.

  • Can mum & dad watch the class?
Parents may watch the beginning of the first class to help settle students in.  After this we find that the children are much better without distracting parents and siblings in the room.  However, special tactics are used for those who have trouble separating from their parents, so don't worry if it takes your little one a few classes to feel at ease. We have a watching day on the last class in terms 1,2 &3.  In term 4, there is no viewing as we are working towards our concert which we know you are going to love, so we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!

  • Can I trial a Class?
Yes, we offer trial classes in all group classes. Its a good idea to call us first so we advise of appropriate class and time. Class trials cost $18 for 30 min class, $22 for 45 min class and $25 for a one hour class. If you decide to join us you will pay the term cost minus the trial class cost, plus registration fee.

  • Does BodyBeat have holidays?
Yes, we teach classes within the NSW Schools Terms, therefore following NSW School holidays, National & Public Holidays. No classes on any public holidays (except for adult classes which run during school holidays and public holidays)

Testimonials
  1. Our experience has been a truly positive one- from our initial booking through to our first lesson last night. As we are not dancers, we were rather apprehensive about attending the class, but our fears were alleviated through the total professional approach of Julian our instructor, who immediately put us at ease.

  2. Julian and Nina at BodyBeat are great instructors with plenty of experience. Their beginners classes provided me with a great foundation for building on. They provide lots of tips for use on the social scene as well as heaps of different moves and variations. Intermediate and advanced classes provide great routines every week, dancing is always heaps of fun at BodyBeat. There's always lots of laughs with a great bunch of people. They have managed to develop a real family atmosphere that is relaxed and encouraging. Dance is a great way to keep fit and meet people at the same time.

  3. I joined Body Beat dance studio in November 2008, never before having taken a lesson, and now i absolutely love to dance. Julian and Nina are brilliant dance teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience in a number of dance styles, and break down every move to make it fun and easy for beginners like me (not to mention two of the friendliest people i've ever met). I was afraid dancing would be intimidating at first, but Body Beat is a such a friendly and welcoming environment that once i tried dancing for the first time there, i couldn't stop! Since joining, I've taken on hip hop (my personal favourite!), Salsa Cha-Cha, Rock and Roll, Swing and Argentine Tango and starting to gain the confidence to take on more advance levels and even more dance styles. The monthly Salsa night parties held at the studio are especially fun, giving students a chance to practice what they've learnt in class on a social level, which is great if you think going to Salsa clubs still seem a bit scary. I highly recommend Body Beat to beginners and not-so beginners alike. It's a great way to meet new people and make new friends (so don't be put off if you have no one to go to class with), and more importantly, a fantastic place to learn how to dance! Joining Julian and Nina's studio is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Keep up the great work, guys!"

  4. The All you can dance pass was unreal. It gave me the chance to practice more often and the opportunity to learn different dance styles at a fraction of the cost you would normally pay. Before I realize it, I was attending classes almost everyday. Everyone there is genuinely passionate about dancing and just want to have fun. The students in the class were friendly, non competitive and it is a place where you are never afraid to ask for help.

  5. I went to Body Beat to give this salsa thing a go. It was immediately clear to me that both Julian and Nina were professional, friendly and generous people. I was impressed with their ability to teach anyone, how they would challenge the better students and also assist the strugglers. Their nature permeated the studio and to their staff as well making it a great enviroment to learn and make new friends. Anybody asking me where they should go to learn salsa, I tell them to see my mate Julian!
