General Information

Join us today and see for yourself why salsa is the most popular partner dance in the world. Easy to learn and a great way to meet new people and have fun while you party. Julian and Nina, your teachers, were taught by Fransisco and Luis Vazquez in Los Angeles, who were the creators of Salsa L.A. Style. Come and learn directly from full time professional dancers who were taught by the creators of Salsa L.A. style. Regular Salsa Parties organised monthly.

 

Salsa is a partner dance style. However you are not required to bring your own dance partner. Girls who attend this course without a partner, will be involved in our "Rotation System", where they will get to meet and dance with all the guys through out the night in class. Like wise for all the Guys who attend this course without a partner, they too will be involved in our "Rotation System", where they will get to meet and dance with all the girls through out the night also. Couples who attend this course are not obligated to swap partners and are most welcome to remain with their partner throughout the entire class with out rotating.

  

LEVELS OF PROGRESSION:

 

Stage 1: Beginners (8 Weeks): Basic Steps, Turns & Timing
Stage 2: Intermediate (16 Weeks): 16 Turn Elements
Stage 3: Advanced (For Ever): New Routines ALL THE TIME

 

* Students must complete each level before moving on to the next level.

 

* If a student wishes to skip a level they must demonstrate the knowledge of the level they want to skip before being accepted to the higher level.

 

WHO IS THE TEACHER:

 

Your teachers are Julian & Nina Falciola, both of Latin descent, are full time Professional dancers with over 15 years of National and International show experience. They both lived and trained full time in New York, the dance capital of the world, where they were taught by World Famous International Super Stars: Eddie Torres and Jhesus Aponte. Nina was also chosen by Nelson Flores to be his teaching assistant at The World Salsa Championships at The San Juan Casino in Puerto Rico. Nelson Flores is the ONLY choreographer to take Salsa to the big time on "Broadway". In class they break down every step and movement with clarity and accuracy and most of all, they make each dance class an enjoyable and fun filled experience.

They provide lots of tips for use on the social scene as well as heaps of different moves and variations.   4. I joined Body Beat dance studio in November 2008, never before having taken a lesson, and now i absolutely love to dance. Julian and Nina are brilliant dance teachers with a wealth of knowledge and experience in a number of dance styles, and break down every move to make it fun and easy for beginners like me (not to mention two of the friendliest people i've ever met). I was afraid dancing would be intimidating at first, but Body Beat is a such a friendly and welcoming environment that once i tried dancing for the first time there, i couldn't stop! Since joining, I've taken on hip hop (my personal favourite!), Salsa Cha-Cha, Rock and Roll, Swing and Argentine Tango and starting to gain the confidence to take on more advance levels and even more dance styles. The monthly Salsa night parties held at the studio are especially fun, giving students a chance to practice what they've learnt in class on a social level, which is great if you think going to Salsa clubs still seem a bit scary. I highly recommend Body Beat to beginners and not-so beginners alike. It's a great way to meet new people and make new friends (so don't be put off if you have no one to go to class with), and more importantly, a fantastic place to learn how to dance!   5. The All you can dance pass was unreal. It gave me the chance to practice more often and the opportunity to learn different dance styles at a fraction of the cost you would normally pay. Before I realize it, I was attending classes almost everyday. Everyone there is genuinely passionate about dancing and just want to have fun. The students in the class were friendly, non competitive and it is a place where you are never afraid to ask for help.
